Wildcats will fine-tune offensive attack in jamboree against Lutcher

Destrehan quarterback Marquise Darensbourg hands the ball to running back Will Matthews. The Destrehan Wildcats will get one final tune-up for the regular season when they host Lutcher in the Ed Reed Jamboree Friday night. If last weekís scrimmage was any indication, Destrehan fans will be treated to quite a show.
Sophomore QB handed reins of high-powered DHS offense

Darensbourg was recently named the teamís starter at quarterback. After a heated battle that lasted through the spring and summer, Destrehan head coach Stephen Robicheaux has finally settled on his starting quarterback.

Destrehan receiver Kirk Merritt has blown away college recruiters at camps this summer, which has led to offers from LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Oregon and Texas A&M. Even though he has yet to begin his senior season, Destrehan receiver Kirk Merritt is making a name for himself across the nation.

Three-team scrimmage will help DHS coaches evaluate new starters

Destrehanís Will Sirmon, who will be a junior next season, is one of three quarterbacks vying to fill the void left by the graduation of Donovan Isom. After falling just short of a trip to the Class 5A state championship game, the Destrehan Wildcats returned to the football field this month to begin preparations for what should be another successful year on the gridiron.
