Destrehan rally comes up short in round two loss to Barbe

Destrehan's J.R. Blood Destrehan's season came to an end Friday night as a furious rally came up just short of tying its Class 5A second round playoff game with Barbe, which held on for a 22-14 Class 5A playoff victory at DHS to advance to the Class 5A quarterfinals.

Blood Destrehan and Terrebonne each took the field in their regular season finale Friday night knowing that a victory would likely cement a strong seed in the Class 5A postseason and thanks to a suffocating defensive effort and balanced offensive attack, those spoils will go to Destrehan, 28-7 winners on the road.
